The present day is shown in black and white and the flashbacks in color. Ther flashbacks will also be shown from Dan's point of view. So effectivly the camera will be Dan and you will only be able to see Hannah and how he sees her. This will enable the audience to make a connection to the characters.

  1. Your final idea is ok but you need to make sure that you include a unique selling point. It's important to make sure that the audience will be able to engage with hannah so that they feel sad about her death. In the flashbacks it could be interesting to film them all as though they are from Dan's POV. That way hannah would be effectively talking tio the audience and engaging with them as we are taking a subjective viewpoint. By putting the camera in Dan's position during the flashbacks you will be showing creativity in your filming style.
